The purpose of this activity is to clarify the distribution of each coastal species in the Satsunan Islands, including the Tokara Archipelago, and to predict possible changes that may occur as a result of global warming. Summary of Activities The distribution of coastal organisms (fish, invertebrates, and seaweeds) on the islands of the Tokara Archipelago will be clarified from literature and field surveys. We will investigate the status of habitats by using remote sensing. Predict how the distribution may change with future global warming. Expected Benefits The project will provide the basic information necessary for the conservation of coastal organisms in the face of climate change.
